Girdles For Men

Women have faced pressure from centuries to look good and achieve the standard of what society thought was the best body shape to have then. They used contraptions of all sorts, safe and unsafe, to try and achieve that unrealistic body goal. Even today, celebrities from all over the world look so slim and athletic that women face pressure to look like them. This is a well known fact. What is not so well known is that even men are being pressured to look fit and have abs. Celebrities like Chris Hemsworth, Bruce Willis, Chris Pratt, and so on have the ‘perfect’ body and men are asked to look like that in order to look desirable. This is why the fashion industry created girdles for men.

These girdles for men work like any other girdles- they tone and tuck away the bellies of those wearing them. They help the user look like he works out every day and is ripped- a look most men strive for. It is not only the fatter men that opt for this, even underweight or thin men try girdles for men to look bulkier and more appealing. This is becoming a widespread, world wide phenomenon, and the media is only furthering this hysteria to look what the society considers is good.

True acceptance of your own body is all important, and the day people realise this, they can go back to living their lives peacefully. Until then, men will have to suffer girdles.

Girdles

Almost everybody has a different kind of body and this necessitates a variety of products across all clothing ranges. It can be confusing to figure out which size is best for whom and indeed, millions of women spend their whole lives wearing the wrong size undergarments and then complaining about how they are ‘not supportive enough’ or ‘poke into the skin’. This is where girdles come in.
There are different types of girdles available in the market, including but not limited to: body girdles, waist girdles, panty girdles, post-partum girdles, open girdles, vintage girdles, and so on. Each of these has their own specialities and features, but the thread of commonality between all of them is how they help shape the body of the user. Girdles help tone the entire body. They reduce the waistline, help correct posture and make the stomach region appear flat. The overall effect is pleasing to many as it gives the wearer a smooth and toned silhouette. Many brands carry these different types of girdles- Victoria’s Secret, Spanx, etc.

Since girdles are made of elastic material, over time, they tend to expand and gradually/ lose their elasticity. This process is hastened when they are washed in the washing machine, and after multiple disastrous washes, customers have realised that it is best to hand wash these.

Most girdles offer stronger support in the form of panels than other traditional shapewear, and this could explain why they are hugely popular with women.
